The International and Foreign Language Education (IFLE) office – part of the US Department of Education, has announced its Centers for International Business Education grant competition for the 2014 fiscal year.
The program provides funding opportunities for higher education institutions, for the purposes of curriculum research and development, in addition to training on current issues relevant to U.S. trade and global competitiveness.
Projects funded by the grants will focus on enriching skills needed for international relations. These include language instruction in critical foreign languages to provide an understanding of the cultures and customs of U.S. trading partners; and the teaching of business techniques in international contexts.
Application packages for the 2014 fiscal year are available now, until the final submission date of July 3rd 2014. A webinar on the program competition will be offered on Wednesday, June 11th at 2:00pm EDT.
