CUP has launched the “Supporting Every Teacher” campaign and, in partnership with Cambridge Assessment English, is producing large amounts of free, online content for teachers and learners. Hosted on its World of Better Learning blog, this supports teachers whose schools have been closed with daily text, audio, and video content focused on different aspects of online teaching. They have compiled available online content into free-to-use bundles for different user groups in support of online courses and produced guides on how to use printed materials in a virtual classroom setting. The Cambridge Exam Boosters series has also been digitized and made freely available. Support is available for schools to provide help and guidance on moving to or using online, blended, print, and digital products.

Cambridge University Press (CUP) is offering made a range of resources, worksheets and videos free to teachers, students and parents around the world on its school closure support page – teaching and learning from home. Here you can access almost all of the digital material for free for the next three months, as well as find links to primary worksheets and a range of other useful resources. The Brighter Thinking blog has tips and advice from teachers who have been affected and guidance for those facing or experiencing school closures. This support is being made as accessible as possible and feedback is welcome in these extraordinary circumstances to help further improve the offering. Higher education textbooks in HTML format are free to access online during the coronavirus outbreak to support universities and their students. More than 700 textbooks, currently available on Cambridge Core, CUP’s online home for academic books and journals, are available online to students through their university library regardless of whether they were previously purchased. They are also providing free access to a growing collection of research related to the coronavirus until the end of May. “The [Cambridge University] Press plays a global role in education and research and shares its University’s mission to contribute to society through its work. Sharing that research can play an important role in tackling shared threats such as this.” Articles in the collection are drawn from journals including Epidemiology & Infection; Prehospital and Disaster Medicine; Infection Control & Hospital Epidemiology, and Animal Health Research Reviews.
